From study to success: UniSQ to celebrate its new graduates

Five people pose indoors; one in graduation cap and gown holds a diploma, while another holds a bouquet of flowers. All are smiling at the camera.
The time has come!

Behind every cap and gown is a story of hard work, resilience and ambition – stories that will be celebrated at the University of Southern Queensland’s (UniSQ) graduation ceremonies in Ipswich next month.

The University is hosting its Spring graduation ceremonies from 1-3 September at the Ipswich Civic Centre.

Across six ceremonies, more than 450 graduates from disciplines including business, nursing, paramedicine, psychology, human services, education, law, engineering and information technology will receive their degrees.

UniSQ Vice-Chancellor Professor Karen Nelson said graduation was a special time for all at the University.

“Graduation ceremonies are about more than crossing the stage – they are about celebrating with our graduates, their family and friends, and recognising the persistence, dedication, and success of our newest alumni,” Professor Nelson said.

“I look forward to congratulating our students on graduation day and wishing them every success in the future.

“A UniSQ qualification empowers our students to achieve their goals and become change makers in their communities.”
