Guidelines for republishing UniSQ Newsroom content

We support the sharing of articles published on the UniSQ Newsroom online under a Creative Commons – Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives licence (CC BY-ND 4.0) in accordance with the requirements below.

You may republish UniSQ Newsroom content if you:

  • Make the content available free of charge and not for commercial use.
  • Clearly attribute the content (including extracts or quotes) to the University of Southern Queensland (or UniSQ) and credit the original author(s) exactly as published.
  • Include a clear and prominent link to the original article on the UniSQ Newsroom website and encourage readers to access the original source.
  • Check captions and credits carefully. Ensure you have the appropriate rights to use any images or other material not owned by UniSQ, noting that some UniSQ Newsroom content may be supplied by third parties.
  • If republishing a translation, ensure it is an accurate translation of the original article that does not alter meaning, emphasis, or intent, and include a clear and prominent link to the original UniSQ Newsroom article.

You must not:

  • Edit, adapt, abridge, or otherwise modify the content, except for minor, non-substantive formatting or spelling changes required for house style. Changes must not alter meaning, emphasis, tone, or intent.
  • Republish the content in a way that implies UniSQ endorsement of a product, service, or political position.
  • Systematically reproduce large volumes of UniSQ Newsroom content or mirror the site.
  • Frame UniSQ Newsroom pages within another website.
  • Republish extracts or quotes unless they are identical to the original text and comply with these same attribution requirements outlined above.
