Our vision as UniSQ Business is to be a driving force of change for a just, prosperous, and sustainable future in our communities. Our mission is to provide transformative education and lifelong learning opportunities that empower individuals to pursue their aspirations. Our research drives innovative solutions to societal challenges both locally and globally.

What we do

Our vision comes to life through the collective efforts of a committed group of expert staff from a diverse range of disciplinary backgrounds.

We offer undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees enriched with co-created industry learning opportunities that prepares students for the future of work (which is now).

UniSQ Business graduates are equipped to be critical, creative thinkers; ethical, engaged professionals; effective communicators and collaborators; and employable enterprising professionals. Lead by Program Directors who care deeply about the learning outcomes of students, dedicated staff lead and inspire students in their career pursuits.

Through the use of real world and compelling examples, student knowledge and application is tested and extended. Students are prepared for the future of work with embedded enterprise skills, known to be greatly sought after by industry.

UniSQ Business plays an active role in working with community partners, focusing on academic programs and undertaking applied research that is relevant to community priorities. Our research and work with community partners, contributes to the University vision of being an innovative, student-focused, connected and forward-thinking University, that creates a better future through excellence in learning and teaching, and research.

About UniSQ Law

UniSQ Law offers a world-class education in law and criminology and criminal justice. We provide our students with unparalleled flexibility in how, when and where to undertake their studies. 

All our degrees can be studied at Toowoomba, Ipswich or entirely online. Students can commence their studies in any of three trimesters each year. Our degrees can be accelerated by taking advantage of the trimester academic calendar or completed at a slower pace to fit in with other responsibilities. 

We are committed to:

• respecting and promoting the rule of law, ethical behaviour and professional responsibility in the School and legal profession
• sustaining quality teaching, giving students flexible study options and an inclusive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment
• ensuring that our students are career-ready, developing the necessary knowledge, understanding, skills and values to prepare them for a range of legal and related career options
• sustaining a program of quality legal research and publications, and forging connections between research, teaching and student learning
• engaging as teachers and researchers with comparative and international perspectives on law, justice and legal processes
• actively engaging with the judiciary, legal profession and broader public (including online and regional communities)
• continually renewing and improving our teaching and research programs in response to legal, educational and social change.

We offer fully accredited legal qualifications through our Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor, with a broad range of electives to allow students the choice to study personal interests.  These programs are accredited by the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board, ensuring our graduates are prepared for legal practice throughout Australia.

UniSQ Humanities is a dedicated community of scholars and creative professionals committed to providing opportunities for graduates to lead and inspire others, and to engage and create impact in their communities. Our academic staff are experts in their fields and encourage others to learn through their passion, their abilities to communicate clearly and their skills in teaching online and face-to-face.

Creating impact

Our students create impact in their communities by building a professional identity, working with industry partners, and curating a qualification that can take them where they want to go. The variety of our disciplines provides space for interdisciplinary and collaborative learning and research opportunities to help students future-proof their careers, develop expertise, and invest in flexible and transferable skills to equip them for diverse career opportunities.

At UniSQ, we believe that access to education should be available to everyone regardless of circumstance.

Our pathway programs empower students, both international and domestic, by providing an appropriate pathway for those needing to meet certain entry requirements, as well as students from non-English backgrounds.
