The new Finance specialisation commences from Semester 1, 2023. 

Overview

  • Enhance your knowledge of Australian and global financial markets with UniSQ’s Graduate Diploma of Business (Finance). This specialisation will equip you with the skills to make sound financial decisions.
  • Develop your understanding of corporate finance, markets and instruments and strategic investments. Discover how factors such as interest rates, government spending and inflation affect the financial markets.
  • Understand the behaviour of investors and how companies create value for their investors, choose assets for portfolios and assess credit risk of both individuals and corporations.

Further study

After completing the Graduate Diploma of Business (Finance), you have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Business.

Entry requirements 

  • Australian university Bachelor degree in the area of business, or equivalent.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

To complete this degree students must complete 8 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per semester.

  • Semester 3, 2022 - applications are open and the closing date is yet to be advised. Semester 3 commences on Monday 14 November, 2022.
  • Semester 1, 2023 - applications are open. Semester 1 commences in February, 2023.
  • Semester 2, 2023 - applications are open.
