We're currently redeveloping our leadership program in partnership with our students - check back in 2026 for more resources.

UniSQ recognises the importance of student leadership development and is committed to empowering students to build their leadership skills and self-awareness through a variety of formal and informal opportunities.

Our leadership workshops and webinars are designed to help you identify, understand and grow your personal leadership qualities. They also provide practical strategies to mobilise yourself and others to create positive change.

There are many opportunities to put your leadership strengths into action through paid or volunteer roles within the university and the wider community.

You can also showcase your leadership development through UniSQ Student Awards, helping you stand out when you graduate.

External leadership opportunities

Golden Key is an international honour society that connects members with global leadership programs, partnerships, awards and opportunities. The USQ chapter of Golden Key has over 1000 alumni and current student members.

Business After Hours is an initiative of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and is an opportunity to network and get further involved with the community.

Networking After 5 is an initiative of the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is an opportunity to network and get further involved with the community and hear from some inspirational speakers at breakfast and luncheon events.

Future Leaders is an initiative of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce specifically aimed at the city’s younger business people. The group has their own board and networking events and focus on supporting the advancement of members professionally and personally.
