View the course catalogue on the Jutus Liebig University website. Detailed course outlines may be available on the website. One UniSQ course would usually be equivalent to about six to eight ECTS, but this will be assessed by your UniSQ program coordinator.

Winter semester

October to February.

Summer semester

April to July.

Exchange students are guaranteed a place in a student hall of residence. As an alternative, they can look for private accommodation.

Insurance

All students studying in Germany are required to present sufficient health insurance. The local immigration office in Giessen requires the mandatory purchase of a German statutory health insurance (approx.a. 90€/month) in order to apply for a visa extension. JLU will provide details about this at the time of admission. This may not include travel insurance, so make sure to check the policy and purchase travel insurance if not covered under the German policy.

There are limited Erasmus+ grants, generously provided by the European Union’s Erasmus program, available to eligible students applying to study for a semester at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany worth up to EUR 5750 (approx.. AUD 9000 each). Find out more.
