  • This degree builds a strong foundation for careers in medical technology and research, and can be used as a pathway to become a Doctor of Medicine. Graduates are eligible to apply for graduate membership with Engineers Australia (as a Professional Biomedical Engineer).

Professional accreditation

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is provisionally accredited by Engineers Australia and graduates are eligible to apply for Graduate membership at the Professional Engineer level.

Students have the flexibility to complete any courses from this list, or to select a package of courses organised by theme, if they wish to develop depth in a particular area. Students who complete at least four (4) courses from this list, whether across different themes or within one theme, will satisfy a pre-approved elective package and will not require Program Director approval for their elective choices.
