International Student Placement Bursary

In Trimester 2 2026, UniSQ will offer a number of International Student Placement Bursaries to support international undergraduate and postgraduate students attending mandatory placements as part of their UniSQ program.

The bursary aims to reduce financial stress associated with placement‑related costs such as travel, accommodation, uniforms, equipment, and loss of income.

With limited funding available, the allocation process for these bursaries is competitive. Therefore, meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee a bursary. Applications are assessed based on the advertised criteria and awarded depending on the funds available.

Each bursary will have a maximum value of $300 to be paid in one instalment.

Applicants must meet all of the following:

  • be an international on-campus student
  • be commencing or continuing their studies full-time at UniSQ in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program in Trimester 2 2026
    • continuing students must have a current Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0
  • be enrolled in a course with a mandatory placement in Trimester 2 2026.

Applicants must:

  • provide a statement of no more than 200 words describing how this placement bursary will help to enhance your overall wellbeing.
  • provide details of the mandatory placement you are attending, as requested in the application process.

*Preference will be given to applicants who have travelled the furthest distance from their term-time address to their placement location. Consideration will also be given to the length of duration of the placement.

Applications must be made through UniSQ Access – International Student Placement Bursary Application Form

If you require assistance in completing your application, you may book an appointment with a Senior Student Wellbeing Advisor via phone on 07 4631 2372, or online through UniSQ Access
