Legal and JP services
If you're unsure about your rights or responsibilities, we can help. And if we don’t have the answer, we’ll connect you with someone who does. Some common issues students might face include:
- problems with rental agreements or landlords
- traffic fines or licence issues
- relationship violence or abuse
- being accused of a crime
- discrimination or unfair treatment
- trouble with debt collectors or consumer complaints.
If you find yourself facing any of these situations, make an appointment with a Student Advisor (Wellbeing) via phone 07 4631 2372 or book online via access.
Justice of the Peace (JP) services
A Justice of the Peace (JP) is available every Wednesday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm to help with certifying copies or witnessing documents. No need to book an appointment; however please ensure you bring proof of identification and a pen with you.
