Work through our Ready to Study checklists

1. Find accommodation
Learn about on campus accommodation and other housing options.

2. Expectations and responsibilities
It is important to understand both students’ reasonable expectations of the University as well as the responsibilities expected by the University of its students.

3. See if you are eligible for recognition of prior learning
Find out if you are eligible to receive credit for previous study or work experience to reduce the number of courses you need to study.

4. Apply for a scholarship
Check out the scholarships and bursaries available and find out how you can receive financial assistance for your learning journey.

5. Get your free copy of Microsoft Office 365
Don't have the software to start your studies? UniSQ gives you free access to Microsoft Office 365.

1. Enrol in your courses
Check your recommended enrolment pattern in the UniSQ Handbook and enrol in your courses as soon as you can.

2. Get your student ID
Your student ID card is your gateway to studying at UniSQ and is necessary for sitting all end of semester exams.

3. Textbooks and study materials
Organise your study materials and textbooks. All textbooks and materials can be purchased through the School Locker website.

4. Register for disability support
UniSQ is committed to providing an equitable environment for students with disability. You can find out more about what support is available and the benefits of registering for disability support.

5. Support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students
If you’re an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student, you can access the dedicated support services at the College for First Nations, Education and Research (CFN).

6. Parking permits
If you are studying at our Springfield campus, you will need to display a parking permit on your dashboard in the designated UniSQ car parks. As a student, you are eligible to receive this for free and can access your permit by contacting iconnect.

1. Review your enrolment before the census date
Any changes to your enrolment, such as dropping a course, needs to be finalised before the census date to avoid incurring fees or receiving a fail grade for any course you may not complete.

2. Access study support services
Develop your academic writing, maths and referencing skills. Check for upcoming workshops or book a one-on-one consultation.

3. Health and Wellness
Take care of your wellbeing by accessing the UniSQ services available to you for coping with everyday stressors and challenges.

4. Peer mentoring
Peer Mentoring programs are an ideal platform for mentors to share their experience and develop their leadership skills, while students benefit from sharing ideas, engaging with others and expanding their scope for success.
