Understanding your results and GPA

You'll receive marks and feedback for individual assessment tasks throughout the study period, with final grades released at the end of the period on the designated results release date.

If you're looking to strengthen your academic performance, UniSQ offers a range of online and in-person learning support services to help you build effective study habits, manage your time, and study with confidence.

Marks and feedback

Marks and feedback for completed assessment items are provided by your Course Coordinator via your StudyDesk and in the Marks and Grades section of your Student Centre. If you have questions about your feedback or how your mark was calculated, contact your course’s teaching team - their details are available on StudyDesk.

If you have concerns about the feedback you've received or how your performance aligns with the assessment criteria, you're encouraged to discuss this directly with your Course Coordinator.

If you believe there are valid reasons, you can request a recheck of your assessment mark.

Your final grades and GPA

Final grades are based on your overall percentage mark in the course or, in some cases, on professional competencies that require a minimum level of achievement. Each course’s specification and StudyDesk will outline what’s required to achieve a passing grade, including any compulsory competencies or supervised assessment components. If you believe there are valid reasons, you can ask for a review of your final grade by submitting a formal application.

Most grades contribute to your Grade Point Average (GPA), which is a key measure of your academic performance. To work out your GPA, add up the Grade Points from your final grades and divide by the number of courses you've finished.

Below you will find some of the most common grade codes you'll come across. For the full list and what each one means, check out the Grades Procedure.
