Career Change Internship Program
We are excited to announce that the Department of Education will again partner with the University of Southern Queensland to deliver its 2027 internship program, the Career Change Internship Program (CCIP).
Applications are now open and close on 4 October 2026 for a 2027 start.
What is the Career Change Internship (CCIP) program?
This program is for degree-qualified career changers, including veterans, looking to transition into teaching in high-demand curriculum areas across Queensland state schools in priority regions.
What does the Career Change Internship program involve? The Career Change Internship Program helps you become a teacher with:
- a $20,000 scholarship in your first year of postgraduate study
- a paid internship during your second (final) year of study
- an offer of permanent employment on completion.
