The University’s 2023 Toowoomba Scholarship recipients have crossed the stage to receive their certificates at a ceremony last night (9 May).

Philanthropic, International, Research, Government and Academic Excellence Scholarship recipients celebrated their achievements surrounded by their family and friends at the Allison Dickson Lecture Theatre.

University of Southern Queensland Dean (Students) Professor Jim Nyland said all the students should be very proud.

“We wish all of our scholarship recipients the very best in their studies here at UniSQ,” Professor Nyland said.

Among the 85 award recipients, almost 50 were made up the UniSQ Academic Excellence Scholarships recipients, which are awarded to Year 12 students who put UniSQ as #1 on their QTAC application and achieve the required ATAR.

The University offers three different academic scholarships: The Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (ATAR 97+), Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (ATAR 88+) and the UniSQ Academic Scholarship (ATAR 84+).
