The University of Southern Queensland is excited to welcome acclaimed Emmy nominated Director Geoffrey Nottage onto campus to give budding actors the chance to work with one of the industry greats.

In a masterclass titled ‘To Lead and to Follow’, Mr Nottage will guide actors and directors through scenes utilising camera and sound and help develop their skills.

The Director of television series’ including Home and Away, Police Rescue, Fallen Angles, and Ship to Shore, said he was excited to be working with the community.

“Guiding actors through scenes, and shooting them to maximum effect is the key to being a good director, and that is a real area of excitement for me to come to UniSQ,” Mr Nottage said.

"What is a director? It's been said that it is the land of the most brilliant, not the home of the mediocre, so let's try and find out,” he said.

“I'm very excited to come to UniSQ and work with students who are committed to discovering a truth.”

The masterclass will be held from November 18-20 and is open to the public.
