As demand for mental health services continues to grow, the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is improving access through low-cost psychology and counselling services with no wait times.

The UniSQ Toowoomba Psychology and Counselling Clinic is open to the public, providing therapy and psychological assessment services for people aged five years and older.

In addition to appointments at the Toowoomba clinic, telehealth services are available, making support accessible to people across regional and rural Queensland.

“By offering timely and affordable services, we’re helping improve access to mental health support while training the next generation of psychologists, counsellors, and social workers,” clinic director Dr Vicki Dallinger said.

Services are delivered by provisional psychologists under the supervision of registered counsellors and clinical psychologists, ensuring clients receive high-quality, evidence-based care.

Referrals from individuals, families, schools, GPs and other health professionals are welcome and assessed for suitability.

Individual therapy sessions are available for $25, while psychological assessments are available for $450.
