A new weekly Sunday market is launching at the University of Southern Queensland’s (UniSQ) Toowoomba campus – and it’s all about community, connection and quality.
The SG Sunday Markets, presented in partnership with the UniSQ Student Guild, aim to strengthen community ties while giving students real-world opportunities to showcase their talents.
UniSQ Student Guild General Manager Andrew Johnson said the markets reflect the growing demand for community-focused, sustainable shopping.
“The SG Sunday Markets are about creating a welcoming space where the Toowoomba community can come together every week,” he said.
“From local growers and makers to UniSQ students sharing their talents, the markets are designed to celebrate what our region has to offer.
“We can’t wait to see the campus come alive on Sundays with good food, local music and genuine connection.”
Launching Sunday, 5 October, the markets will run weekly at the Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre (CBRC) and feature more than 30 stalls with fresh produce, handmade crafts, food trucks and artisan goods.
Families can enjoy live music and entertainment while browsing, and students are encouraged to get involved with discounted stallholder rates for student-led businesses, creative start-ups and side hustles.
Whether it’s homegrown veggies, handmade art, fashion, or food, students have the chance to share their talents and be part of the vibrant local event.
