The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) has once again confirmed its place among Australia’s top-performing universities, achieving outstanding results in the 2026 Good Universities Guide.

The annual national rankings, based on independent student and graduate surveys and higher education data, have awarded UniSQ five-star ratings for several key indicators, including graduate success.

UniSQ led Australia for undergraduate starting salary, reaffirming the University’s reputation for producing job-ready graduates with strong career prospects.

The University also achieved five stars for full-time employment and starting salary, reflecting its focus on employability and practical learning outcomes.

Graduates continue to outperform strongly, with 84 per cent of undergraduates and 90 per cent of postgraduates securing full-time employment within three months of completing their studies.

UniSQ also received five stars for social equity, the best result in Queensland, highlighting the University’s strong commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and support for first-generation students and those from diverse backgrounds.

It further earned five stars for student-teacher ratio, demonstrating its dedication to personalised learning and a supportive academic environment.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Karen Nelson said the results reflected UniSQ’s focus on delivering high-quality, career-focused education that changes lives and strengthens communities.

“These results show that UniSQ continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for our students,” Professor Nelson said.

“Our success is built on a deep connection with industry and community. UniSQ works closely with employers to ensure our programs align with workforce needs.”
