Trimester calendar

A study period of equal length occurring three times each year. Typically 14 weeks duration and includes a 1-week teaching recess, and a final assessment week.

2025 Trimester calendar

Year-long calendar

Three year-long study periods which align with the start dates for Trimesters and Blocks 1, 3 and 5 study periods. The year-long study periods facilitate the completion of clinical and professional placements which may fall outside of the standard study periods.

Block calendar

A short 6-8 week study period that typically includes 6 weeks of teaching, an optional 7th week for assessment and a 1-week study break.

Session calendar

An academic calendar that combines two 7-week blocks and two 14-week sessions, with a 2-week study break in between each study period.

Research calendar

Graduate Research School calendar comprising eight 6-week study periods across the calendar year. Enrolment in the Research study periods is only available to students undertaking PhD studies.
