  • Advance your expertise and capabilities as a professional educator or lay a solid foundation for further study. The Professional Advancement specialisation is a coursework program designed for diverse professional contexts and offers a possible pathway into the UniSQ Doctor of Philosophy. 
  • Extend and master your professional knowledge and understanding of the latest developments in national and global educational issues.   
  • Develop your ability to evaluate and critically reflect on evidence-based practice whilst enhancing your research skills. Learn to apply theory and practice in community, professional and workplace contexts while critically reflecting on current educational practices with a view to effecting change.  
  • Choose to complete a research pathway where you will undertake a project focusing on your chosen area of teaching and education, or opt for the coursework pathway where you can combine courses to shape a degree to suit your professional interests.

As a graduate, you'll be a skilled educator with specialist expertise, ready to contribute as a leader, researcher, or consultant across both traditional and non-traditional educational settings.

Students must select two units from the Master of Education (MEDC) Guidance, Counselling and Careers or Special Education specialisations

Students can select two additional units from from the MEDC selectives, and/or Master of Learning and Teaching selectives and/or University Wide selectives at Postgraduate level and complete the following 4 units
OR

Students must select 5 selectives from the MEDC selectives, and/or Master of Learning and Teaching selectives and/or University wide selectives at Postgraduate level and complete EDU6221 Coaching and Mentoring
