Graduates from this specialisation may apply to work as a Guidance Officer in Education Queensland's state schools if they have registration as a teacher. Counselling roles in schools in the Independent or Catholic sectors in Queensland may have different requirements.

Professional accreditation

The Guidance, Counselling and Careers specialisation is an appropriate qualification for entry-level membership of the Queensland Guidance and Counselling Association (QGCA)
