Project 89-UniSQ Joint Funding Program Scholarship

The Vietnam Government’s Ministry of Education and Training and the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) are jointly offering postgraduate research scholarships to applicants from Vietnam who wish to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Research program at UniSQ.

  • Monthly living allowance;
  • Return international airfare;
  • Overseas Student Health Cover;
  • Tuition fee scholarship

University of Southern Queensland

  • A top-up tuition fee scholarship for a Doctor of Philosophy (DPHD) program for up to 48 months OR
  • A top-up tuition fee scholarship for a Cotutelle PhD program (DPHC) for up to 36 months OR
  • A top-up tuition fee scholarship for a Master of Research (MRES) program for up to 24 months

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Be of Vietnamese nationality at the time of application;
  • Meet the UniSQ entry requirements, including both English and academic, for the Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Research program and receive an unconditional offer letter from UniSQ, or an offer letter conditional on the completion of their current program;
  • This joint scholarship is subject to the applicant also being successful in applying for the Project 89 scholarship award.

Step 1:

  • Apply to UniSQ for admission into the Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Research program (there is no specified deadline)
  • In the Finances section of the application, express the intention to apply for the Project 89-UniSQ Joint Funded program
  • If the application is successful, the applicant will receive a letter of offer and a conditional tuition fee top-up scholarship letter from UniSQ

Step 2:

  • Upon receiving the letter of offer and conditional scholarship letter from UniSQ, contact your home institution in Vietnam to apply for the Project 89 award
  • When you receive your Project 89 letter of award, please attach this to your UniSQ application
  • NB. If you have already received your Project 89 Award letter before applying to UniSQ, please attach the letter to your UniSQ application in Step 1
