Placement Bursaries

In 2026, UniSQ will offer a number of Placement Bursaries to support undergraduate students attending mandatory placements.

With limited funding available, the allocation process for these bursaries is competitive. Therefore, meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee a bursary. Applications are assessed based on the advertised criteria and awarded depending on the funds available for the respective study periods.

Students can apply for the bursary in each application period, if applicable.

Applications for the bursary will be open in Trimesters 2 and 3 2026, as below:

Trimester 2 2026 Application Period

  • Open: Monday 25 May 2026
  • Close: Monday 3 August 2026
  • Placement MUST commence between: 25 May 2026 and 13 September 2026

Trimester 3 2026 Application Period

  • Open: Monday 14 September 2026
  • Close: Monday 23 November 2026
  • Placement MUST commence between: 14 September 2026 and 31 December 2026

Students CANNOT receive this bursary and the Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) for the same placement, therefore if eligible you are encouraged to apply for the Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) in the first instance.

If you need financial assistance to help with the costs associated with your placement, you may wish to consider applying for an interest-free Student Financial Loan. For more information, please refer to Student Financial Support
