Telling the stories of research via the mainstream media can be a challenge, because science often doesn’t fit neatly into the format of the short ‘news story’. Some of the lessons researchers learn about communicating with peers and colleagues can get in the way of effective communication with the general public. During this workshop, we’ll look at how you can adopt storytelling techniques to improve your media performance. We’ll also explore social media options for researchers, and how to boost your online profile.
