Presented by Dr Lynette Pretorius (Monash), this UniSQ Research Masterclass webinar is designed to help researchers articulate, justify, and align the methodological foundations of their research projects. Through worked examples and guided activities, participants will learn how to explain and justify research designs, data generation and analysis methods, participant recruitment strategies, and ethical considerations in ways that demonstrate coherence, rigour, and reflexivity.
Dr Pretorius is an award-winning and highly cited researcher and educator in research experience, skills, methods and support. Some of her notable publications include 'Fostering AI literacy: A teaching practice reflection', ‘Reflection for learning in doctoral training: writing groups, academic writing proficiency and reflective practice’ and ‘Wellbeing in Doctoral Education’. She has received numerous awards for her work including a Dean’s Award for Programs that Enhance Learning (2019) and a Global Impact Grant (2022).
