Three Minute Thesis (3MT®)

3MT® is an academic research communication competition developed by the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia.

UniSQ is proud to once again participate in the Virtual 3MT® Asia-Pacific Competition in 2026. This exciting opportunity invites doctoral students (who have completed their confirmation of candidature) to showcase their research in a compelling three minute presentation. Finalists have the chance to gain national and international recognition, prize money, and new audiences for their research.

About the Competition:

The Three Minute Thesis competition celebrates innovating research conducted by doctoral students. It helps develop their ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to a non-specialist audience. All UniSQ 3MT® participants benefit from training and experience in research communication and presentation.
