International Students

New International Students

If you’re a new international student studying on campus you must come and meet face-to-face with our friendly iconnect concierges upon arrival in Australia to receive assistance with:

  • completing your arrival process
  • registering in your courses
  • answering any questions you may have about studying at UniSQ.

If you're a new international student studying externally, either online or supported by a UniSQ partner, we'll process your enrolment according to the courses listed on your acceptance of offer.

As an international student on a student visa, you are required to adhere to specific enrolment conditions. Please see below for information about visa requirements and your UniSQ enrolment.

Continuing International Students

If you’re a continuing international student you’ll be supplied with an Enrolment pattern each academic year to use when enrolling for the year ahead.

Follow the continuing students enrolment guide when you are ready to enrol.

Important enrolment information about your student visa

To ensure you complete your program in line with your Confirmation of Enrolment, you will need to maintain full-time enrolment. Should you wish to reduce your study load, you will need to apply to do so.
You are required to enrol in all your program’s compulsory study periods. For trimesters, this is all three trimesters. For semesters, this is semester 1 and 2. At least one of your courses each compulsory study period must be on campus.
In line with the Enrolment Procedure, you are not able to enrol in more than 2 online courses in a year. You must enrol in at least one on-campus course for every compulsory study period.

Online courses cannot exceed 33% of your program.

Every unit attempted via online/external mode contributes to your 33% limit regardless of the final grade achieved, including failed units.

The UniSQ International Student Support team will notify you when you are approaching your maximum limit of online or external enrolment for your program and will also notify you in the event that you reach or exceed your limit for your program.

As part of our obligations under ESOS, UniSQ are required to ensure students meet all the requirements of your course. Enrolling in the full year ensures that your planned study is compliant with the program requirements.

Enrolling in the full year also allows us to identify international students who will be impacted by any changes in course offerings and provide an alternative.
