“My experience studying UniSQ’s Tertiary Preparation Pathway (UniReady) has been very positive,” says Veronica, current UniSQ UniReady student.
Veronica needed a pathway to get into a university degree because she was homeschooled and didn’t officially graduate when she finished school. This meant she didn’t have a HSC and didn’t meet the entry requirements of a university degree.
“I chose to study TPP because my brother had done it and recommended it to me.”
The best thing about UniSQ’s UniReady is that it provides a pathway to study almost all UniSQ’s degrees. UniReady's team tailor the subjects you study so that you gain the skills to enter your desired degree. In a nutshell, UniReady can help you get into university if you don’t meet the entry requirements, or it’s been a while since you studied.
Veronica said that the subjects are well presented, and it was great to choose the level of English or Maths that suited her.
“The support here has been outstanding – all my lecturers and examiners have always been ready to answer any questions I had. It was also very helpful to have Student Academic Advisors to talk with about my future career plans.”
As she gears up to her final semester of UniReady, she’s getting ready to apply for UniSQ’s Bachelor of Education.
“I think studying a pathway has been a great introduction to the university environment and it has been an advantage to get used to how things work at UniSQ before I start my degree.”
“I have gained skills from my pathway subjects that could be applied in any area of study and I know I will use many of those skills in my undergraduate studies.”
