Ignition Bursary

The Ignition Bursary Fund is an initiative of the National Priorities Industry Linkage Fund (NPILF) Project, supporting UniSQ students to gain professional skills and participate in opportunities to develop their entrepreneurial and innovative mindsets. There are two categories of activities covered by the Ignition Bursary Fund.

UniSQ-sourced activities

Opportunities being promoted by UniSQ are advertised on CareerHub.  Information is added to this events page regularly, so keep checking it regularly for all the latest information.

Student-sourced activities

Students may find opportunities that they would like to seek funding for.  Examples could include:

  • Attending a conference or event that is related to your studies
  • Participating in a professional development workshop
  • Participating in an innovation challenge

Please note that events must be within Australia, travel overseas is not supported under this funding.

Once you’ve found an opportunity, please submit your application for funding here.

The Ignition Bursary Fund will remain open until Friday 27th October 2024, or until otherwise stated.

All activities must be paid for and completed by 31st December 2024.

The bursary can cover some or all of the cost of a professional development or entrepreneurial activity up to a maximum total value of $1500 per student.

Students will be asked to provide a cost breakdown if submitting a self-sourced activity for consideration.
