This is a practical workshop for HDR student to explore their self care strategies and improve and maintain wellbeing. Topics include: Psychoeducation and warning signs; What's working and areas to build; and Personalised self-care plan, barriers and habits.
• Session 1: Psychoeducation and warning signs (1 hour)
- We introduce what wellbeing and looking after yourself really means, explore the different dimensions of wellbeing, and help students identify early warning signs that they might be getting off balance.
• Session 2: What’s working and areas to build (1 hour)
- This is a reflective session, encouraging students to take stock of what they’re already doing well and where they might want to strengthen their self-care habits.
• Session 3: Finalise the plan, barriers, and habits (1 hour)
- We will support students to pull together a realistic, personalised self-care plan – one that includes both ongoing strategies and in-the-moment supports, with time to reflect on their motivation and what might get in the way.
