The Graduate Research School invites you to attend the Research Masterclass webinar - What is the Power of Embodied Storytelling in Medical Practice? presented by Associate Professor Devaleena Das. In medical practice, storytelling is often seen as an adjunct to clinical reasoning, but what happens when we recognize the body itself as a storyteller? This talk explores the concept of embodied storytelling, where lived experiences, sensations, and nonverbal narratives shape both patient care and medical decision-making. Devaleena Das is a tenured Associate Professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Family Medicine and Biobehavioral Health at the Medical School of the University of Minnesota and the Department of Studies in Justice, Culture, and Social Change on the Duluth campus.
