Build Your Own Hydraulic Robot Arm
Dive into the exciting world of engineering with our hands-on STEM session where you'll create your very own hydraulic-operated robot arm. This workshop will introduce you to the principles of hydraulics and robotics. You'll learn how hydraulic systems work, explore the mechanics behind robot arms, and apply your newfound knowledge to build a functional model. By the end of the session, you'll have a working hydraulic robot arm to take home and demonstrate to your friends and family. Join us for a fun-filled learning experience that combines creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills!

Seeing the Invisible: Ultraviolet Radiation
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is emitted by the sun and has important biological effects on humans and the world around us, however, because we cannot see it or feel it, we don’t know how much exposure we receive until it’s too late. So how do we measure something that is effectively invisible? This activity will involve science and art to explore detection of a radiation we cannot see, and also to understand the value and importance of sunscreen usage to protect against biological damage. Specially designed paper will be used and will show changes caused by exposure to UV radiation. The overall method is referred to as a cyanotype, and is similar to the process of traditional film photography, however much simpler and faster to do!
Take to the Skies with Aviation
Introducing the students to the exciting aviation industry and exploring our state of art Boeing 737-800 flight simulator.
Talk, Move, Think: Explore OT & Speech!
Curious about how health professionals help people live their best lives? In this interactive session, you'll step into the shoes of an occupational therapist and a speech pathologist! Try out fun challenges like decoding secret messages, testing your memory and movement skills, and exploring how we communicate and stay independent in everyday life. You'll work as a team, problem-solve real-life scenarios, and learn how occupational therapy and speech pathology help people thrive at school, at home, and in the community. Come and discover if one of these awesome careers is right for you.
