Thursday 13 February marks the anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations. It has been 17 years since then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd apologised to First Nations people affected by forcible removal in Australia. Recognising this day and time in history acknowledges the impacts and ongoing effects of past policy for First Nations people.
We invite you to attend this event, in-person or online, and hear the story of survival and healing shared by Aunty Sharon Kinchela, followed by a cuppa with staff from the College for First Nations for those joining in-person. Together we will acknowledge and reflect on our shared history and envision a better future for all.
