After Georgia’s hard work and commitment to her studies during high school she was awarded The Downlands College Dux and an OP1 which made her a recipient of a $29,000 Chancellor’s Scholarship.

In 2019, the University launched a new range of Become Rewarded scholarships offering automatic scholarships to school leavers who gained an OP 1-8 and put UniSQ first on QTAC.

‘Throughout my high school years I pushed myself to see how well I could do. It was very exciting to get an OP1 and to receive the Chancellor’s Scholarship. I feel like all the hard work has paid off.’

She said she chose to study in Toowoomba to be near family and support systems close to home.

Georgia’s choice to study a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences as her undergraduate degree was guided by her passion to go on to postgraduate studies or sit the GAMSAT.
