Declaration of Results

A process to elect staff representatives to fill vacancies on Academic Board and its Standing Committees for a term commencing immediately and continuing until, but not including, the Academic Board meeting of July 2024 is now complete. The results of the election process are as follows:

ACADEMIC BOARD

An electronic ballot to elect the following representative to Academic Board is now closed:

3.1.13. One female academic staff member from the Academic Affairs portfolio

The following nominations were received – Lisa Beccaria, Jessica Marrington, Anita Wheeldon, Ambika Zutshi.

Following the close of ballots, I hereby declare Associate Professor Lisa Beccaria elected to Academic Board.

Nominations were called for the following categories of elected staff members to fill vacancies on Academic Board:

3.1.12. One male academic staff member from the Academic Division excluding the Academic Affairs portfolio

No nominations were received.

3.1.14. One academic staff member from the Research and Innovation Division

No nominations were received.

RESEARCH COMMITTEE

An electronic ballot to elect the following representative to Research Committee is now closed:

4.1.12 One mid-career researcher of the University

The following nominations were received – Josh Denham, Chris Watling

Following the close of ballots, I hereby declare Dr Josh Denham elected to Research Committee.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

4.1.13 One elected Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander academic staff member

The following nomination was received: Geoff Keating. I hereby declare Mr Keating duly elected to Education Committee.
