UniSQ Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws student Francesca arrived to study a semester in England which broadened her world as she met her university roommates from the United States, Germany, Japan, India and the Netherlands.

Departing UniSQ for a semester at the University of Bradford in England is a dream for many students.

'Studying in England has been the best experience of my life. I got to travel and see places I never thought I would. I have met some incredible people from around the world.'

Francesca felt welcome in her new environment and was fully supported by the local international team.

'Orientation week allowed me to settle in and enrol ready for the semester. I was fortunate to enrol in a Master’s-level Peace Studies course, which turned out to be my favourite, as well as two law electives.'

Francesca was able to obtain credit towards her UniSQ degree for all three courses she studied in England.

'The University of Bradford felt similar in size to UniSQ. There were up to 30 people in my classes, depending on the course. To complete the assessment I had to learn what is now my sixth referencing style!'

'There were plenty of opportunities to travel which enhanced my overseas experience and broke up the focus on study.'
