  • Explore subjects across a variety of areas, with the ability to choose eight courses from across any of the Graduate Diploma of Science specialisations.

After completing the Graduate Diploma of Science (General), you can go on to study the Master of Science.

  • Graduates will understand scientific practice and have advanced knowledge in a discipline of science. You will be able to articulate aspects of the place and importance of science in the local and global community, and find professional work in a range of settings.

Entry requirements

  • 3-year Bachelor degree from an Australian university or equivalent. 
    • or
  • equivalent professional work experience, as determined through the Credit and Exemption procedure.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

Residential schools
