  • Whether you’re new to study or haven’t completed Year 12, UniSQ’s Diploma of University Studies provides a comfortable transition to university study.
  • This diploma will deliver an introduction to business studies at university and allow you to develop essential study skills in English, critical analysis and mathematics.
  • You will have the opportunity to select courses introducing you to marketing, accounting, economics, law or finance.

Further study

As a graduate of this program, you will be eligible to apply for direct entry into a range of UniSQ undergraduate degrees including the Bachelor of Business. Your studies could also count as credit toward your undergraduate degree.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Degree structure

To complete this degree students must complete 8 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per semester.

Once accepted into the degree, you will need to complete the diagnostic exercises (PDF 382KB) in mathematics, e-literacy, and English communication skills to assist staff in determining your level of reading comprehension, written expression, and mathematical understanding.

Students who have completed four units of study within the Diploma may be able to exit out of the degree with a Certificate of University Studies qualification.
