  • Combine engineering construction and management with study areas such law and finance, construction technology and engineering.
  • Study while you work, either via distance or on campus, and have the flexibility to adapt your study to your life.
  • Already hold a Diploma through TAFE or experience through work? Then fast track your degree with the credit you’ve already earned.
  • With relevant courses, develop your skills in management, construction technology, problem solving, law, health and safety, finance, engineering sciences and the principles and practice of modern construction project management.

Further study

When you have completed the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you have the option to undertake the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and receive the appropriate credit.

Professional accreditation

As a graduate of the Bachelor of Engineering Science, you will eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as an Engineering Technologist. After gaining experience from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Technologist.

Career outcomes

  • Upon completion, you will be prepared to work as a Building and Construction Manager or Construction Technologist on major infrastructure projects involving construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, buildings, water supply schemes, industrial and manufacturing plants, airports, tunnels and dams.

  • Subject pre-requisites: English (Units 3 & 4, C), Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C), or equivalent

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

Practical experience
