Consulting Surveyors NSW Scholarship for Indigenous Students

In 2024, UniSQ will offer one Consulting Surveyors NSW Scholarship for Indigenous Students to support an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student from NSW commencing their studies in the Associate Degree of Spatial Science (Surveying), Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying), or Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying).

The Consulting Surveyors NSW Scholarship for Indigenous Students was established in 2022 and is funded by an annual gift from the Association of Consulting Surveyors NSW. The scholarship reflects the Association of Consulting Surveyors NSW commitment to Spatial Science Technology education, excellence, and indigenous students.

The scholarship will have a maximum value of:

$10 000 (16-unit degree), or
$15 000 (24 or 32-unit degree).

The scholarship will be paid as a stipend of $5000 per year for up to three years.

Applicants must:

be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia
be a resident of New South Wales at the time of application
be a commencing student
be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in the Associate Degree of Spatial Science (Surveying), Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying), or Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying) in Trimester 1 2024.

Applicants must:

address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
- what influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
- how you see yourself as a future professional within your field
provide evidence you have a permanent address in New South Wales at the time of application
provide evidence you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
