A unique field day to inspire and educate farmers, industry and teachers to implement changes that will create positive impacts, hosted by the Lismore Node of the UniSQ-led SQNNSW Innovation Hub.

  • Unpacking carbon farming with early adopters - hear about their journey and process
  • How to increase productivity and manage your land to ensure climate resilience for flood or drought
  • How to develop climate resilient and adaptable soils, and increase the nutrient cycle for pasture and orchard health
  • ‘Northern Rivers Net Zero’ - benefits, challenges and actions for the agriculture sector
  • Panel discussion convened by Damon Gameau with Q&A.

 

The day will also include...

  • Farm tours to explore: the Big Scrub revegetation planting project guided by Reforest Now, the Koala Friendly Carbon project, led by WWF Australia and Climate Friendly, and a Regenerative Agriculture practices tour
  • Resources and a workshop for high school teachers
  • Industry stalls
  • Delicious food prepared by talented chefs, including Mindy Woods, proud Bundjalung woman of the Widjabul Wia-bul clan and David Carew from the Casino Food Co-op
  • Plus: Talks by ReForest Now and Climate Friendly

 

Cost: $40 pp includes lunch ($5 from each ticket will be donated to Big Scrub Landcare)
