The focus of this forum will be on projects funded by the National Landcare Programs Smart Farm Small Grant Soil Extension Activities. Six projects totalling $3.6 million worth of investment have been awarded for extension activities across Southern QLD and Northern NSW.

During this forum you will have the opportunity to:

  • increase awareness of soil related projects, research and extension activities occurring within Southern QLD and Northern NSW
  • increase awareness of national level soil related programs
  • identify opportunities for collaboration, research avenues and practice change
  • network
  • raise issues/identify barriers to adoption that can be furthered at the national level via the Soil Science Extension Community of Practice
  • support the enhancement of soil knowledge and capacity amongst producers, service industries and other soil stakeholders.

The Soil Community: Aggregating knowledge and capacity forum is organised by the SQNNSW Innovation Hub Regional Soil Coordinator. The Regional Soil Coordinator is funded by the Australian Government Smart Farms Initiative; Building Landcare Community and Capacity: Soil Extension Activities.
