Topics covered will include some useful tips to help with publishing high-impact research during a PhD, understanding what high-impact research entails, the benefits of high-impact research beyond impact factor, impact within the industry and research partnerships, and collaborations on research projects.
Francois is currently the Regional Editor for the Americas of the European Journal of Marketing (ABDC: A*) and serves on the Editorial Review Boards of 7 other journals, including the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and the Journal of Advertising. A large part of his research focuses on consumer behavior as well as on branding and advertising. He has also developed expertise in the meta-analysis methodology. Speaker: Dr. Xuequn (Alex) Wang, Edith Cowan University Xuequn (Alex) Wang received his Ph.D. from Washington State University. His research interests include social media, privacy, and human-computer interaction. His research has appeared (or is forthcoming) in MIS Quarterly, Decision Sciences, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Communications of the ACM, ACM Transactions, and Tourism Management. Speaker: Associate Professor Hiram Ting, UCSI University Hiram serves as the Vice President of MAG (Marketing in Asia Group) Scholar and the Chairman of the Sarawak Research Society (SRS), an NGO aiming to nurture rising researchers and provide platforms for networking and collaboration between academics, practitioners and students. He is the first and currently only EMERALD Ambassador in East Asia. He is also attached to other institutions as an Adjunct Professor or Scientific Committee Member, such as Griffith University in Australia, Research Synergy Foundation in Indonesia, Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Philippines and Ming Chuan University in Taiwan.
