This seminar is for anyone undertaking mixed methods research who is preparing to write up the methods chapter of their thesis or is preparing a mixed methods study for publication. The seminar will cover how to report a mixed methods study including:
• Defining mixed methods
• Contextualising the need for a mixed methods design
• Philosophical assumptions
• Conceptual frameworks
• Data integration.
Participants will ideally already have an understanding of mixed methods study designs.
Associate Professor Nicole Heneka leads a translational program of prostate cancer survivorship research through the UniSQ Centre for Health Research. She is an experienced implementation researcher with expertise in mixed methods, qualitative and participatory health services research. Her program of research focuses on the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based prostate cancer survivorship interventions into clinical care.
