"GP in schools influence on First Nations Students with a disability.
First Nations students with a cognitive disability may face barriers to accessing government and disability specific systems which might improve student’s ability to engage in school-based learning opportunities.
This research study aims to employ qualitative case study and use interpretative methodology to investigate the impacts and possible benefits which might result from a GP in school working to improve students physical and mental health at Goodna Special School. As this study is unique and part of a pilot project it will explore and build new knowledge in this under developed research area.
First Nations, Students with Disability, GPs in Schools, Educational engagement, Physical health and Mental Health Outcomes."
