Experiences of trauma are prevalent in society with its impact evident across many domains, including physiological and psychological outcomes. TIC acknowledges that many people accessing mental health services have had an experience of trauma and aims to prevent re-traumatisation. This project will initially establish if including TIC in the undergraduate nursing curriculum is acceptable and feasible for student nurses. It will then go on to explore if TIC impacts student nurses thoughts and attitudes toward people with serious mental illness and its impact on their mental health clinical placement experience.
