Step into the life of a university student this Sunday (August 15) as the University of Southern Queensland offers an immersive Open Day experience for those pursuing their chosen career.
UniSQ Open Day 2021 participants will get an all-access pass to the University’s academics and facilities to discover what it’s like to study on campus.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Geraldine Mackenzie encouraged people to come along to be inspired by a passionate team of lecturers and current students.
“It is a great opportunity to get questions answered and explore our suite of industry-relevant degrees,” Professor Mackenzie said.
“Alongside information sessions and campus tours, attendees will get a chance to participate in hands-on activities that will get them excited to start their studies.
“For example, you can explore our research laboratories, theatre spaces and moot court, or perhaps venture out into the field with our paramedicine mobile unit or flight simulator.
“We also have a wide range of career insight sessions such as ‘A day in the life of a psychologist’, ‘Archaeologists don’t dig dinosaurs’ and ‘Agricultural technology for flights to Mars’.”
UniSQ Open Day 2021 will feature entertainment from musician Hope D and support act Nine Year Sister, as well competitions such as a chance to win a $1000 gift card.
In the meantime, the University’s Virtual Open Day (August 22) is the best place experience studying online, and for future students to get their questions answered from the comfort of home.
