About the talk
There are benefits and dangers to training and competing in the heat. Discover how to make the most of training this summer from UniSQ Sport and Exercise lecturer, Dr Brianna Larsen.
About the presenter
Dr Larsen is a Lecturer of Sport and Exercise at the University of Southern Queensland and a Queensland Academy of Sport Scholar. Her primary research interests are thermoregulation and exercise performance, with a more recent focus on the influence of hormonal contraception. Throughout her career, Dr Larsen has conducted athlete education sessions for high profile sporting bodies such as the Australian Institute of Sport, Swimming Australia, Basketball New Zealand, and the Australian women's Rugby League team.
The Ipswich 100 Charity Bike Ride will be held on Sunday 27 March 2022.
The Ride is a project of the Moggill Mt Crosby Lions Club, in association with the Ipswich Hospital Foundation.
All proceeds from the ride are donated to charity.
