Career support for UniSQ Graduates

Are you prepared for life after graduation? UniSQ will be there to assist you with realising your career goals.

As a graduate, you can access our UniSQ Careers and Employability team for 12 months of expert career guidance, assistance with job searches, support writing job applications, and information about events that connect you with industry. 

Career planning and advice 

One-on-one career planning sessions that can help you to develop your career management skills, set goals and strategies and plan for employment after graduation. Appointments are available in person, over the phone or via Zoom. Book your initial 20 minute appointment. 

Job searches

There are two main ways of finding work - applying for advertised jobs, and then making use of the 'Hidden Job Market'. The Careers and Employability team offer a range of resources and advice to help you with finding work. 

Writing applications

Your job application is the first impression a potential employer has of you, so it's important to ensure you first impression is positive. The Careers & Employability Team deliver series of webinars, and have resources, to give you the knowledge to prepare a winning application. Access resources and templates for writing resumes, cover letters or selection criteria, and submit your application documents for review by the team. 

Interview support

With video interviews (live and pre-recorded) becoming increasingly popular, UniSQ are happy to offer Big Interview to our students. Big Interview is an online platform where you can learn and practice your interview skills. Use your UniSQ email address to create your account with Big Interview to gain full and free access to the platform. 

There are 100's of videos to assist you with preparing for an interview. On the Big Interview platform you can record yourself presenting and share it with the Careers and Employability team for feedback. 

Events

By increasing the number of people you know, you'll increase the number of opportunities you can explore. We host a number of events to connect our students and graduates with industry.
