Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland - Outstanding Academic Achievement Prize - Family Law
As a family law student, your academic career shapes not only your path within the legal community, but also shapes our culture and environment, as well as those of future generations. No one believes this more than USQ School of Law and Justice and Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland (FLPA).
Established in 1978, FLPA’s goal was to promote reform in family law and related legislation. Today it is Queensland’s leading industry body representing those who work in family law, including not only solicitors and barristers, but also social workers, psychologists and members of the judiciary (among many other associated fields).
$1000 Cash Prize
At the end of each semester offering of LAW3421, the student (on campus / external) with the highest overall mark will receive a $1000 cash prize donated by FLPA. In the instance where more than one student has the highest overall mark, the prize will be split among the students equally and equitably.
FLPA Membership
All full-time students are offered free membership to FLPA and therefore, an opportunity to participate in learning and social events (hosted several times per year). For more information visit www.flpa.org.au/contact.
